Alexander B. Weeks (1818-1859) was a photographer and daguerreotypist from Brooklyn, New York. He worked with David Keith in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 1841, and at J. Gurney in New York in 1846. In 1851 and 1852, Alexander B. Weeks associated himself with a fellow countryman, Charles Deforest Fredricks (1823-1894), for a trip to South America. During this trip, he is working with photographers Georges Penabert (1825-1903) and Saturnino Masoni (1826-1892). After returning to New York, Weeks operated a gallery in Brooklyn until January 1854. Alexander B. Weeks has a studio in Toledo, Ohio from 1854 to 1855. In 1856 and 1857 he was in Detroit where he worked as an artist in Moses Sutton's studio. He was again in Toledo from 1858 to 1859. His wife pictured with him on the photograph, is Sarah Ann Weeks and they had four children.
