Aaning worked as a professional photographer and after his death in 1922

thousands of glass plate negatives were badly stored uptil the 1980`s.
Only 23 negatives survived the years of poor storage and successive demolitions.
The poor storage conditions have left the plates damaged by water and mold attacks.
