CVT with rigid friction members organized as a planetary wheelwork
Its rigid friction members have a planetary gearset configuration whose non-toothed satellites 4 are shaped as double truncated cones. The shafts of those doublecones 4 are mounted into the box 9 by means of swinging arms. From the outside the doublecones 4 are in contact with a pair of symmetrically located, axially shifting rings 3 connected by means of a drum 8 with the output shaft 2. Analogously, from within the doublecones 4 are in contact with a pair of pulleys 5 mutually against each other movable on the input shaft 1.
Both pulleys 5 consist of three disks. The central disk 7 is fixed to the pulley hub. The lateral disks 6 are mutually connected by a toothed differential squaring the different transmission ratios of disks 6. The rings 3 are solved similarly. The control system regulates the pressure between the friction members by the transmitted torque and neutralizes the centrifugal force effect on the pressure in the peripheral cylinders. In order to provide for a parallel shifting rings 3 also at unequal passive resistances, the cylinders are distributively filled by parallel piston pumps. Also the transmission change by pulleys mutually moving in opposite direction and by analogously moving rings is controlled hydraulically.Relevantní obrázky
