55 שנים עברו מאז הקרבות העקובים מדם והבכי המשחרר שצבע את רחבת הכותל. אל"ם (מיל') משה פלד, שהיה סמ״פ חטיבה 55 (מילואים של הצנחנים), מהראשונות להגיע אל הכותל, הוביל בשיתוף פעולה עם מפקד מרכז ההובלה, אל״ם עודד צמח, וקצינת החינוך של המרכז, סרן דנה סהר, סיור למ"פים של המרכז בו עושה מילואים כיום, בעיר העתיקה.
